Mini-Mag 99 was a short-lived, black-and-white publication dedicated to treating both TI-99/4A hardware and software. It was published by S.O.S. Publishers and edited by Leslyn Tepper. Unlike other magazines dedicated to TI-99/4A information, Mini-Mag 99 was a smaller format printed on 5 & 1/2 by 8 & 1/2 inches vs. 8 & 1/2 by 11 inches for publications such as Micropendium and 99'er Magazine. From what I've been able to discover, although meant to be published monthly, only three issues of Mini-Mag 99 were ever published: March 1985, April 1985, and May 1985. All three are available for download near the bottom of this page.
Although the magazine didn't publish many issues, those available contain great information and hope for the future of the TI-99/4A, even though it began publication after Texas Instruments had already announced its plans to discontinue support for the computer. Being printed in a smaller format, each issue contains approximately half the information of publications printed on larger page formats. The smaller format lent itself well to reading, however, being easier to hold. Its dimensions matched much closer to the dimensions of most software manuals for the computer at the time.

MINI-MAG 99 is a major national publication exclusively written for TI-99/4A users. We will cover all levels of information, including application, education, how-tos, product news, practical hints, etc.
We have received support from key dealers and users groups, as well as third party manufacturers, who have assured us of continued product and software availability for the 99 I 4A.
Since the so-called "death of the 99," there has been more activity than ever before. More companies have provided product support, since they are not up against Texas Instruments.
At the recent CES, new products were announced that will bring the capability level of the 99 I 4A to that of the IBM PC-products like MAC Paint and module screen dumps.
MINI-MAG 99 is dedicated to the TI user-YOU! We look foward to providing you with information and news that will help you to use your TI-99 I 4A to its fullest!
