Accounting Assistant is an Accounting software created by Scott Foresman and company for the TI-99/4 and TI-99/4A with part#: SF 30429. It was released during the fourth quarter of 1981 and retailed originally for $465.00. It was distributed on Solid State SoftwareTM Command Module and required a floppy disk controller with two drives as it recorded accounting information on floppy disks. Tronics Inc. later re-released Accounting assistant during the second quarter of 1983 with part#: HSM 1414.

It was aimed at schools only and helped created district level reports and assist administrators in the budgeting process. It records purchase orders and furnishes vendor lists and checks registers. The program came with 5 blank disks to help store information.

Fun Fact

Unlike other cartridges made by Texas Instruments (TI) or Scott Foresman, the label on Accounting Assistant was light blue and on a very light color gray cartridge. It was also sold in a large binder with an oversized blue manual and came with 5 blank floppy disks for saving information. Since this title was only sold to schools, it makes it one of the harder to find cartridges out there. [1]

HELP!!!

I really can't find any other information out about this software title. If anyone knows of a resource that gives additional information, please let me know. For example, if you have a better copy of the manual that you could take a higher resolution and color copy scan of, I would appreciate and give you credit for it here. Likewise, if you have a cartridge and could take a high-resolution photo of it, I would again love to use it on my site and give you the credit. Email me here!
