One of the manuals was written written by Leading Edge Products Inc.The other is a production of C. Itoh.Both cover the same ground. , thoughthe Leading Edge manual is written insuch a way that even a first-time printer printer purchaser can get his machine upand running after scanning the firstfew chapters. The C. Itoh manual provides provides more detail about the internalworkings of the machine. The twocomplement each other. 

 Neither manual includes any spe-cific specific information about setting up theprinter for the TI home computer.However, the explanations providedfor other computers were easy to follow follow and utilize on the TI. Although Ioften had to hunt for the information, Iwas always rewarded by finding outwhat I wanted to know somewhere inone of the manuals. My only criticism of the manuals isthat neither has an index. The C. Itohmanual has an excellent table of contents contents that helps to compensate for thenon-existent index. The Leading Edgemanual. , however. , begs for an index.Then. I've been spoiled by the documentation documentation that Texas Instrumentsprovides with its products. ===Value: === This is a fine, general purpose purpose printer that certainly wouldhave a long life in the home or smallbusiness. Prices have come downdramatically since it was introducedslightly more than a year ago at $795.
