The software cartridges used on the TI 99/4A are called Solid State SoftwareTM Command Modules. Many of the most popular programs for the TI 99-/4A were distributed using these cartridges (for example Parsec, Car Wars, TI Invaders, Hunt the Wumpus, The Attack, Tombstone City, Munch Man, etc). Unlike floppy disks, however; Solid State SoftwareTM Command Modules lack the ability to save program information.
