Each player has two bishops ( [[File:Video Chess Piece - Black Bishop.png|15px]] [[File:Video Chess Piece - Black Bishop.png|15px]] [[File:Video Chess Piece - White Bishop.png|15px]] [[File:Video Chess Piece - White Bishop.png|15px]] ). At the start of the game White's bishops are on C 1 C1 and FlF1, Black's on C8 and F8. The bishops move only along the diagonals, but like the queen they can cross as many empty squares as the player wishes.
