It was aimed at schools only and helped created district level reports and assist administrators in the budgeting process. It records purchase orders and furnishes vendor lists and checks registers. The program came with 5 blank disks to help store information.

Unlike other cartridges made by [[Texas Instruments|Texas Instruments (TI)]] or [[Scott Foresman]], the label on Accounting Assistant was light blue and on a very light color gray cartridge. It was also sold in a large binder with an oversized blue manual and came with 5 blank floppy disks for saving information.
