Angler Dangler is an action, fishing, sports video game created for the TI-99/4A by Data East. It was never released for the TI-99/4A, but was released as a coin arcade cabinet in 1982. It was scheduled for release in 1983.

Gameplay

The player is a fisherman on the bottom on the of the screen. On the left-hand side, there is a map of the water showing the position of obstacles in the water. As the player begins, a yellow arrows moves up and down on top of the map. The player times his/her cast with the arrow. When the fire button is pressed, the fisher casts to the point where the arrow was. The angler then reels in, using the fire button, and moves the hook back and forth in an attempt to catch the biggest fish possible. Once a fish is hooked, the player uses the fire button to reel the catch in. But, be careful! Reel too fast, and the line will break. The player also needs to move side to side as her/she reels in order to avoid objects in the water, which will cause the player to lose a hook. The player starts with four hooks. The game ends when all four hooks are broken off either by reeling too fast, or snagging on objects in the water.
